On 8 December 2025, the Cooling Singapore 2.0 team in our lab (Assoc. Prof. Perrine Hamel, Research Fellow Dr. Emma Ramsay and Research Assistant Darya Gong) had the pleasure of bringing together colleagues from government agencies, academia, and industry for an afternoon of learning and collaborative modelling.

The workshop kicked off with a high-level sharing on the capabilities and applications of ecosystem service models in Southeast Asia. We then transitioned into a sharing on model mechanics, followed by hands-on modelling activities where participants could apply these tools in real-world scenarios. That day was wrapped up with a lively open-mic discussion.

It was inspiring to see so much enthusiasm around using the InVEST Urban Cooling Model to understand heat risks and support climate-resilient urban planning. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and actively participated!
