On 11 February 2026, Cooling Singapore 2.0 Work Package B hosted the final deep dive workshop for the project. This milestone event brought together all 3 Research Pillars across Singapore Management University, National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University to share our collective findings on urban heat and climate change.

The session kicked off with presentations from each pillar, exploring how different districts experience heat risk, heat health advisory considerations, and how nature-based solutions can support urban adaptation. Representing Research Pillar 3, research fellow Dr Emma Ramsay presented the Resilient and Inclusive Cities’ work on vegetation and ecosystem services.

This was followed by a dynamic poster session, where participants engaged directly with researchers and explored the work in greater depth. Our lab member, research assistant Darya Gong, helped to set the visual theme and aesthetic coherence of the event.

We concluded the deep dive with an insightful panel discussion among principal investigators and early-career researchers from the three institutions. Prof. Perrine Hamel and Dr Emma Ramsay were among the panellists, sharing perspectives on their collaborative journey for this project.

Over the past four years, close engagement with our partners has been central to this project. It was incredibly rewarding to present findings to help design a more heat-resilient Singapore.

Behind the scenes, our team also led the consolidation of content across Research Pillars and the development of cross-pillar visual materials to communicate key insights more effectively. Keep an eye on our project page for more details while we finalise this Cooling Singapore 2.0 project in the coming weeks!
