Shankar Acharya

Research Fellow

Shankar is a post-doctoral researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education and research environment. He is a research professional with a Ph.D in Urban growth analysis from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and a Master of Science (M.Sc) focused in Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation (Geo-Informatics) from University of Twente ( ITC, The Netherlands) / Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (I.I.R.S, India). His current work involves in reviewing major urban growth characteristics in Southeast Asia. Also, conducting a spatially explicit assessment of the regional scenarios on biodiversity and ecosystem services in urban centers of the region.
