Native Biodiversity Does Not Just Look Pretty



As Singapore entered a circuit breaker period in a bid to limit Covid-19 transmission, weeding and grass-cutting was suspended. As a result, many have experienced newfound appreciation for an unlikely source of urban nature - the spontaneous greenery and native biodiversity beside roads. This includes both native flora and fauna, including but not limited to some species of grasses, small shrubs, insects, and birds.
